Will spring ever get here? I don’t know about where you live, but in northern California, our weather has been so unpredictable. One day it’s sunny and beautiful, the next day it cold, wet, and dreary. You would swear you were in the opening scene of The Cat in the Hat. Unfortunately, the Cat in the Hat hasn’t stopped by to entertain me on our cold, wet, wet days. If you are having dreary days, you might appreciate adding a little fun to your next journal lesson with these writing prompts.

On March 28, I began a series called “3 Cheers”. Please read that post before you read the next part of this post.
Every faulty has at least one member who is what I call “Suzy Sunshine or Sammy Sunshine”. This person has a sunny disposition and is always willing to lend a hand. They are the “glass is half full” type of a person. Our ray of sunshine is Brian @ Hopkins’ Hoppin’ Happenings. In fact, every Friday his blog post is titled “Positive Fridays”. He shares the positive things that’s happened to him and ask his followers to do the same. If you need a little sunshine in your life, be sure to visit his blog on Fridays. You have probably seen some of Brian’s lesson floating around Pinterest cyberspace. He has several lessons with rabbits, which goes along nicely with the “hoppin” theme of his blog. Brian is currently a substitute which gives him experience with a wide variety of grade levels. This experience is reflected in his lessons. Some of his current best sellers are: I Have/Who Has, Odd/Even to 100, and Sea Life Bossy R. Add a little sunshine to your life!
No faculty would be complete without at least one “Energizer Bunny”. Our little bunny is Jeannie @ Kindergarten Lifestyle. Jeannie is a full-time kindergarten teacher in Texas. When she’s not helping her kinder kids at school, she is helping her six children at home. You would think with children ages 3-14, she wouldn’t have a moment to spare. But, that is not the case with this energizer bunny. Her first blog, which began in December, has almost 100,000 page views. It has been so popular she decided to branch out Jeannie recently began a second blog called Lessons of Literacy. With a Master’s of Education in Reading, Master Reading certification, and a Reading Specialist certification literacy is a passion for Jeannie. You should check out some lessons. Her word wall cut and paste is one of her favorite lessons to teach. She has one lesson for kindergarten and one for 1st grade.
